Common questions
Money, Quotes and the $65 Off
Money questions come first because that's usually what stops people picking up the phone in the first place.
Do prices change once you start?
Never. We look at the job, agree the price on the spot, and that's what you pay when we're done. Nothing gets tacked on halfway through.
What discounts do you offer?
$65 comes off a first-time customer's service. On top of that, a jet blast booking comes with a free CCTV inspection, work over $200 earns a free plumbing check, finishing a paid job gets you a free premium garden tap, and seniors save 20%.
What does "$65 off your first service" cover?
Whatever job you're booking for, first-time customers see $65 knocked off the total. It's applied when you book online, no minimum spend and no small print.
What does "from $89" actually include?
That's the entry price for a simple blockage, nothing tricky, no digging involved. Once we've had a look and it's more than that, you'll get the real price confirmed before we start work.
Common questions
Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility
The legal and practical questions worth asking before anyone touches your pipes.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are. NSW Plumbing Licence #465156C, licensed plumbers and gas fitters carrying out the work, and insurance behind every job we take on.
Do wipes really block drains?
It's a call-out we get more than most. Wipes marketed as flushable hold together far longer than toilet paper, catching on roots and joints until the pipe chokes up completely.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
Plunger and hot water handle plenty of everyday sink or bathroom clogs on your own. Once it's drainage or sewer work, NSW law puts that in a licensed plumber's hands, so get us out before it escalates.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
Everything between the house and the boundary line is on you to maintain; past that point it becomes the authority's problem, not yours. If a job sits right on that line, we'll say so honestly instead of guessing.
Common questions
How Fast We Get to You
The questions people ask once they've decided to actually call.
What happens after I call?
Someone picks up, gets the details of what's going on, and finds you a slot, more often than not on the same day. From there a licensed plumber shows up, checks it out, and locks in the price before starting.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage coming back up inside the house, a gully trap overflowing outside, or more than one fixture blocked at once. Any of those, tell us it's urgent when you ring.
Are you really available 24/7?
Around the clock, yes, with an actual person taking the call rather than a recorded menu. Once we know what's wrong we get moving fast.
How do I book?
Ring (02) 9139 9922 and we'll sort it there and then, or use the callback form on the contact page and expect a call within minutes.
Common questions
Local to Blacktown
A handful of questions specific to this part of Sydney.
How local are you, really?
We're through this stretch of the west constantly, not dropping in occasionally. That's the reason same-day turnarounds happen as often as they do here.
Can you handle new builds and renovations here?
Definitely. The townhouses and units going up near the station and CBD have their own drainage setup, and we're on those jobs just as often as the older houses further out.
Why do Blacktown's older homes get blocked drains?
Plenty of the fibro and brick-veneer housing from the post-war years is still running its original earthenware drainage, six decades old and cracking in the shifting clay soil beneath the suburb.
Do tree roots cause many blockages around Blacktown?
Especially where older blocks still carry their original mature trees. Roots push into the cracked joints on those ageing earthenware lines chasing moisture, and it keeps our crews busy.
